This record group consists of the receivership records of the Glazier and Gay Commercial Bank of Stockbridge, Michigan, records originally held by the Ingham County Treasurer. The record group includes letters out from the bank (1893-1908), including press copies of letters out from the partnership of George P. Glazier and Gilbert Gay; the partnership of Frank P. Glazier and Gay; and from the receiver to banks, insurance companies, depositors and claimants relating to financial matters. Also in the record group are: daybooks of the Commercial Bank of Glazier and Gay (1883-1907) showing daily banking activities, offering the source of money, recipient of the money expended, and amount; letters out from the Henderson Ames Company (May 27-October 26, 1899) including press copies of letters out from the Company relating to the manufacture, cost and distribution of uniforms (includes index); and the time record of the Emergency Drop Forge Company of Lansing, Michigan (September 25, 1909-December 18, 1915) offering the record of time for payroll purposes among the receivership files of the Company providing name, hours worked per day, rate and amount of pay.

In 1883, George P. Glazier and Gilbert S. Gay became partners in the Commercial Bank of George P. Glazier and Gay, a private bank in Stockbridge, Michigan. When Glazier died, March 5, 1901, his only child, Frank P. Glazier, inherited his interests and became a partner of Gay. The name of the bank changed, May 23, 1905, to Commercial Bank of Frank P.
